VanCon General Contractors- It’s the Simple Things that Tie Us Together
Offering a single source partnership, VanCon, located at 8535 North Dixie Dr., in Vandalia, is a general contracting company with a Design-Build approach. Whether you need a private office building, or a multi-purpose worship facility, VanCon is the only company you’ll need to keep in contact with during the entire building process. In an era where subdivisions with limited options are taking over, VanCon sticks to the tradition of custom home-building, working directly with you to build exactly what you need, exceeding your expectations while maintaining your budget.
Sam Moorman and his wife, Norma, founded VanCon in 1977, incorporating in ’78. The past 32 years have proved successful for the couple, as VanCon has grown into one of the most respected residential contractors in the Miami Valley, and it’s no wonder why. When Moorman handed the business down to his daughter, Jean Maychack, he told her that he trusted her to “maintain an honest and reputable company.” The integrity valued by VanCon has carried this hometown company through the decades.
It’s this honesty that attracts Maychack to Abbey Credit Union, and has kept VanCon a member for over 15 years. She believes the values of both businesses “align” as they treat every customer like their next-door neighbor. Maychack is continually impressed with the instant recognition she receives from Abbey staff upon walking into the lobby and their immediate dedication to correct any problem that may arise.
VanCon initially joined Abbey as a Select Employee Group, offering the payroll deposit program for its employees. Eventually, VanCon began creating business accounts, taking out auto loans for company vehicles, and utilizing credit cards from Abbey. Maychack made note of Abbey’s consistently competitive auto loan rates and ease of application. The relationship isn’t one-sided, however, as a contractor that also specializes in churches and commercial building, VanCon both built and extended Abbey’s current location on Falls Creek Drive.
Another parallel of values between VanCon and Abbey Credit Union, as observed by Maychack, is the companies’ incredible focus on and contribution to the community. It’s about local connection- creating worthy personal relationships with people right here in the Greater Dayton Area, not cold, business-client interactions with faceless consumers halfway across the country for the sake of quantity.
VanCon takes pride in its simple values and is happy to belong to a credit union that follows the same belief system. Just as its members are an active voice in the workings of Abbey Credit Union, VanCon’s clients can settle into something to call their own for a lifetime, something they played a sizeable role in creating. |
